The worst smell for a laundry detergent

I have tried to lemongrass laundry detergent and Iron&Scents softener so far, but every time I smell the laundry detergent annoying smell I have to puke. It is a horrible smell for me.
The Iron&Scents softener supposed to smell like roses, but after opening do not smell roses anymore.My clothes are the same dry like before, is this softener is good for what then?
I am not satisfied with this brand and regret that I bought the whole set of 7 products.
